I {Heart} Shabby Miss Jenn!

Guess what?? I am a guest on SMJ’s guest creative team again this month AND next month!! I’m so happy to be working with her beautifully shabby designs again . She just had a BIG release at the shabby barn (isn’t that such an adorable name for her store??) so I have been making lots of fun pages!

Here is the page I made with her new Cheerful kit (click for more credits):

IDEAS/TIPS/TRICKS:

• Try blending modes on alphas and fonts, not just photos!
• Add a double row of stitching along the outside edges of your page for a finished look that is more boyish (it reminds me of the stitching on blue jeans).

IDEAS/TIPS/TRICKS:

• Try super-sizing portions of your text and blending them into your background paper.
• Why not take some photos of your favorite things around the house and make a scrapbook page with them? It will be fun to look back on years from now.

IDEAS/TIPS/TRICKS:

• Line up small elements to make borders – use merge and duplicate commands to help speed up the process.
• Think outside the box to come up with additional uses for elements. I tucked journaling brackets under my page borders to add a little extra color and texture to the page .

I also used one of SMJ’s new blog packs to decorate my Lovely, Lovely Things blog. I love how fast and easy it was to make my blog beautiful with that blog pack!! There are a lot more goodies in the SMJ store too, so go ahead and check it out !
