Can you believe that up until yesterday I did not have my very own Inspiration Journal? I’ve been keeping all of my bits and pieces of inspiration and notes about my ideas in piles and drawers for many years now. But recently, I have undertaken a huge scrap room organization project to make way for all of the awesome stuff Prima Hybrid keeps sending me! So I decided it was finally time to make an inspiration journal to keep my overflowing bounty of creative ideas in
. Here’s what I made (using mostly Prima Hybrid Supplies):

Tips and Tricks
- I printed the “Silhouette Gem Strips Hearts” by IOD, on transparency film, then used “Clearly IOD Tape” to adhere the strip on the journal cover before adding the gem hearts.
- I used a scallop edged punch to make the white shape, and used a tiny heart shaped hole punch to add some extra detail to the scallops.
- The title was from a magazine ad I clipped – perfect, isn’t it?
- The purple paper along the binding is the original design of the journal – I liked how it looked with the Steel Toe Mary Jane papers, so I didn’t cover it
.
That was easy – now I just need to find the time to fill my journal with inspiration!

Enjoy using your inspirational journal – very inspiring!
So pretty. Love the jewel hearts!
just gorgeous!!
I love your blog, your style, your scrap and faith pages, and your outlook on life! As a Christian and a scrapbooker, finding your site was truly a blessing to me.
I have only just started being a scrapbooker! Surprised I never started sooner as I have so many ideas and seen some great tricks and tips on your site too.
That’s a really nice inspiration book! I have one too, but not by far as pretty as yours. I will have to alter mine asap … thanks for the inspiration!
Thanks for reminding me that I really need to start an idea/inspiration journal again! I always think I don’t have the time, but I am going to MAKE time for it, it’s really that important!
Love the inspirational journal! Very cute!

Hi I’m only 12 and I don’t know how to Use the printer so how could I change it so it’s like Easy things and it’s for my diary not a journal even tho its beautiful:) but just wondering thanx
Hi Lizzy!
I think it’s a great idea to decorate your diary, what a fun way to make it even more YOU
! There are so many ways to make it easier, and you don’t need to use a printer unless you want to
. You could use anything that inspires you as decoration: scrapbook paper, clippings from magazines, bits of pretty packaging – you will be surprised how much you have to work with if you start looking around you! Next, practice laying them out on top of your diary until you find a design you like best. Finally, just glue everything on
. If you’re worried you might change your mind, you could even make a book cover out of a paper bag and decorate that instead – then you could change it up if the mood strikes. Have fun!
