Today is my husband’s 29th birthday (Happy Birthday Baby!), so I made this mini album for him in place of a birthday card. First of all, I have to give him total credit for the idea – he sent me 30 emails on my birthday, each one listing something he loves about me. So naturally, I wanted to make a list for him too
! To make the album, I first decorated the whole thing with coordinating papers (the measuring tape and ledger papers are great for list/accomplishment themes). Then I added romantic photos from our recent trip to Cape Cod. Finally, I added word strips with the 29 things I love. The front is just a title page, so you will know what to expect on the inside, and the back panel has the handwritten birthday message on it. I love accordion albums like this one, because you can fan them out and put them on display in front of a mirror, so it’s easy to see all the pages at once.

Oh Jess, this is so lovely! And so much love inside!Great idea!
It was so wonderful when Chris gave you his “30 things…” on your birthday. Now you’ve given him a beautiful response with this accordian birthday card. Putting it by a mirror is such a good hint.
LOVE it!!!
thanks for sharing… except now I feel REALLY bad for my poor, neglected hubby!
Hi, I love your mini album. I am interested how you made it. Coz my bf 29 will be 3 weeks from now and I’m was thinking to make him a scrapbook or mini album.
Hi Cherry,
!
The album was from Oriental Trading company, but it looks like they don’t have that one in stock right now. I’m sure you could find a similar accordion album at a craft store or online. They’re super easy to work with – just adhere scrapbook papers and photos with double sided tape or other adhesive. I typed up my list in Word and printed it on photo paper, before cutting each one out and adding it to the book. Hope this helps. Have fun
This is the most amazing thing.. you gave me inspiration for my boyfriends birthday card. I absolutely love this and your work
Thank you so much for your kind words. I’m glad you found some inspiration
!
I actually had the ideato present my husband a book “101 reasons to love you”))))
but, Jess, this one is also lovely ! Great idea )
