Anybody in the mood for some shopping? I have something special for you this week! An online living room furniture company, www.livingroomsdirect.com, is offering a $60 gift card for their store to one lucky Scrapbook Ideas reader this week! All you need to do for your chance to win is to leave a comment on this post sometime between now and Sunday night (July 26th). The random winner will be announced on Monday, July 27th. **NOTE: They ship to US and Canadian residents only at this time.**
I know what you’re thinking – what does a furniture company have to do with scrapbooking? Well, after browsing their huge online store, I found all kinds of goodies there, even scrapbooking and craft supplies! Here are some of my favorites (but of course the winner can use the gift card for anything at the store):
Hmmm, can you tell I have storage solutions on my mind right now? I have been slowly but surely working on getting my craft room organized lately, it had gotten way out of control! Speaking of which – I have looked in at least six stores trying to find stamp pad storage and/or horizontal pen storage and have come up with nothing!! Right now all of my stamp pads are stacked up in a basket, so I have to take them all out to find the colors I want and then stack them all back up to put them away. And my pen storage situation is even worse. Do any of you have any ideas for me?
P.S. The Shutterfly book came! Once I take pics I will be back to show you
.

Wow!! Love the organizers you’ve shown!! We are getting ready to move to a new and bigger house, where hopefully my crafting space is an entire room instead of the kitchen table or my desk.

I am so glad I subscribed to Scrapbook Ideas-SO many great ideas that are practical! And now the possibility of a shopping trip!! Wow!! This is exciting! We are in the middle of putting an addition on our house, and my workroom is the storage area for everything that needs to be out of the workmen’s way….I can’t WAIT to get myself organized again! This gift card looks like the perfect jump start!

Wow. there is so much stuff there I could use! We JUST moved into a cute little cabin/house and my husband and I made space for me to have a little craft corner but we lack the furniture to do it with! *laugh*

Thanks for all the great ideas. The only coolest stamp pad and pen organizer I know of comes from Close To My Heart, but I would bet that it would be sized only perfect for their stamp pads. But it is a nice idea.

Jess,
I have several reactions to your post:
*You have a craft room? I want a craft room! My “craft room” is my kitchen table.
*storage — yes, it’s time to clean out my storage and re-organize. I have a cabinet next to the computer that has paper and stuff, but the organizers I have in there won’t hold 12×12 paper. They are made for standard 8.5×11. I’d be happy with some stackable organizers that were wider and deeper, do they make those anywhere?
*I esp. like the case you listed that has the handle to carry it and 12×12 hanging files. I have a similar case (not for scrapping, just general paperwork, I am an Awana secretary at my church and I keep my Awana paperwork in it) that holds standard file folders, so 12×12 papers wouldn’t fit.
*This site has lots of items that would be good for teachers, too.
*I can’t wait to see your photo book! How did the “gutter” issue turn out?
Thanks!
Melissa

I’m a total sucker for good storage stuff!!
Thanks for doing this giveaway!
Have you thought about sorting stamps by category? I’ve only done a few hybrid things so my stamps are limited, but categorizing always helps me. As for pens, I sort by color.

My sis uses an old cassette tape holder for her stamps, Jess. Individual slots for the pads and hers is a rotary type too, but I’ve seen wall-mounted versions too.
I’m drooling over the craft desk now after checking out the Livingrooms Direct site

Who wouldn’t love to win! I would use the clear bins to store my stamps. I think one or two layers of stamps would fit perfectly in there.

Well.. I don’t know what to tell you about the stamp pads, but what I do for pen organization is just get one of those bead or tackle box organizers that you can take the plastic pieces in and out of to customize it a bit, and stick them in there.. You can do it by color, type, size, etc.. Seems to work okay for me.. Good luck! Oh! And thanks for the chance to win the gift card.. how fun!!

What a great idea! Thanks! By the way, I love your shutterfly book – the flowers are beautiful!! I need to organize my scrapbook/craft stuff as well – very badly!! haha I had found a place that sold wooden ink pad storage that also held markers, reinkers, and even some of them held wheels. I’ll have to search for it and send it to you if/when I find it.
Thanks for the change to win!!
