Jess, this is so very lovely! Thank you! Aunt Lori is interested in digital scrapbooking and I sent her an e-mail yesterday with some information. If you have anything you’d like to share, I’m sure she would appreciate any help. Apparently she already has Photoshop so I imagine that is what she will use. Love, Jennifer

Yay! So glad you like the kit and happy to hear Aunt Lori is getting into digi scrapping :)! It takes a while to learn, but it is so rewarding :)! When I was first learning, I mainly just searched for tutorials online and played around until I got used to Photoshop. I am still learning new things on Photoshop all the time!

This was beautiful when I purchased it a couple of years ago, and it’s still beautiful. I think I’ll download it again so I can have it on my new computer. Thanks for your beautiful work!

  17. Jennifer December 2, 2010 at 1:40 pm

I wish I had time to download this wonderful kit, but 4Shared is making us wait for 5+ minutes for each file.

    • Jess December 2, 2010 at 1:48 pm

I’m sorry the download page was so bogged down when you tried it! Sometimes that happens when a lot of people try to download at the same time. Maybe try again later and it will be back to normal :)!

  18. marie December 2, 2010 at 2:25 pm

    Wow – how fantastic! Thanks.

Just want you to know how lovely your Christmas Heart kit is. Also, I waited the entire 6.5 minutes to download each section thru 4Shared. That’s a long time. Somethings should be done about 4Shared. It was tough, but your beautiful kit was worth the wait. Bless you.

    • Jess December 2, 2010 at 10:07 pm

Wow, I can’t believe the downloads took that long! It has never taken that long for me. Glad you stuck it out and got the whole kit though :)!!!

  36. Donna December 7, 2010 at 3:09 pm

What a pretty kit, thanks! The 4shared wait times people are talking about are 4shared’s “new and improved” way of getting people to pay for premium service. It’s not related to how busy their servers are. I really like mediafire and sendspace these days, because there are no waits there, they allow large download files, and no need to type a captcha phrase like some places (that still have wait times anyway).

I’m not sure, but I think 4shared may have lost one of your files? There are 8 patterned papers in the zips, but the preview shows 12 papers? Regardless, it’s just lovely and I appreciate it so much! :) Merry Christmas!!

    • Jess December 7, 2010 at 3:56 pm

      Thanks Donna!
Oh my gosh I never knew that! I guess since that didn’t happen to me I just thought people were getting the downloads at a bad time or something. I went back to the 4shared folder and not only is one of the paper packs missing, but there were two new downloads, not from me are in there???? Scary! I don’t dare open them to see what they are, but it looks like a few hundred people already had before I deleted them. I hope they don’t have anything bad in there! Anyway, thanks for the tips, I am looking into media fire. It is disappointing though, because I have many many freebies all on 4shared from when I was a digital designer and there never was a problem back then. I hope the same thing doesn’t happen with these new sites after I upload all my stuff to them!

    • Donna December 7, 2010 at 6:28 pm

It is sad, isn’t it? Here you designers are so sweet to share your beautiful creations and 4shared has to go and get all greedy like that. I honestly would pay if it were more like $1 a month, but they want more. I think it’s $10 a month for their lowest plan. That adds up over the year for most people. Personally, I think they would come out farther ahead by making it cheaper and having more people willing to pay.

It used to be that if you deleted the 4shared cookies, then the download times would get shorter for a little while, but they have figured a way around that now. They claim it resets each day, but I haven’t found that to be the case–it seems to remember at least 3 days worth, which is a pain if there’s a blog train! Sometimes the download doesn’t even work, and their system makes people wait repeatedly for the same file.

That’s scary how files had gotten in your folder that you didn’t put there! And I agree, it seems like once you would go to all of that trouble to switch over your files, there’s no guaranty the new place won’t have a problem or change its policies. I hope whatever you decide to do works out well for you. I know that the scrapbooking community is built of a really great bunch of people who appreciate the designers and understand that problems like this are beyond their control. :)
