Your REALLY, REALLY good at scrapbooking! I actually wanted to ask a few questions. I don’t want to waste a lot of money on buying different types of sticker fonts. What can I actually do? I actually just started scrapbooking. To tell you the truth, I am only 13 years old. And I saw your Scrapbooking 101 Paper/Traditional Album. You didn’t use much titles, and you mostly did the layouts on your children. Is there a MUST to put Titles on every page? Please reply.

Aww, thanks so much Supreedha, you are too sweet! Don’t worry, there are lots of ways to scrapbook without wasting a ton of money! First of all, there are no rules, because YOU are the artist when you make your scrapbooks, so you can make them any way you like! If you don’t want to include a title, that is perfectly OK. I do recommend including some basic information about your photos on your layouts, because believe it or not, several years down the road you may not remember everything – that’s one of the only things I regret about my scrapbooking from when I was 13 – I didn’t write those things, and now I have already forgotten some of the names of the friends in my photos and what the events were. If you don’t want to put the information on the layout, you could always include it on the back of the page if it is in a page protector. As for the fonts, you can find many many great free fonts online. If you have a printer, you could type out titles and journaling, then print print them and adhere them to your pages. If you have photoshop or photoshop elements you could even use letters and word art from digital scrapbook kits (usually inexpensive or free) to design your text then print it out. There are lots of of possibilities! Hope this helps, welcome to the world of scrapbooking

Oh yes, one more thing.
I do my scrapbook layouts on occasions, (eg: beach, birthday) and I mostly put more than one picture. Does is matter what picture it is? Could i just take a picture of myself and then just make a layout out of it? I’m sorry for the load of questions.

Yes, you can use any picture you like for scrapbooking, and if you don’t have a picture that’s OK too – you could always use a postcard, a doodle or anything that helps you document the memory you’re trying to capture
! If you want to include lots of pictures, you can have some that show a whole group of people or the whole scene (like your view at the beach), but it’s also fun to include some close-ups of little things that will help to tell your story, like a picture of the cake or the seashells you found. Have fun!
Thanks for the reply, it really helped, ALOT!!! Another thing, before I stick my photos, I create a border around it with plain colored paper so it stands out. Any other thing which I can do?
There are so many fun ways to make a border around your photos! Of course you can use plain or patterned paper, but you could also make a border around your photo with buttons, flowers or another fun accent. You can even tear the edge of the photo or “distress” the edge by roughing it up with a nail file, curling it a little or dab some ink on. For a more clean look, try cutting a thin strip off of the edge and adhere that next to the photo with a tiny gap in between – this creates a neat frame to help your photo stand out
