I remember receiving my first scrapbook from Grandma when I was a little girl. I held the large green book with excitement; each blank page held the possibilities of memories I had yet to make and document. That was a turning point in my life; from that day on I really lived, knowing that I would recall these happy times fondly for years to come. An avid photographer, I always tried to capture the emotions of the moment. I saved everything from ticket stubs to candy wrappers; each memento carried a little remembrance of experiences I never wanted to forget.
Now, over 20 years later, my passion for this hobby has only grown stronger with time. Now more than ever I appreciate the value of documenting the changes and phases of life, not just for my own sake, but also for the benefit of future generations. While I enjoy the creative process and take pleasure in reliving my most cherished memories, I know that at the same time I’m passing on a legacy for my children and grandchildren.
Recently, I have begun to feel more and more strongly that the legacy I leave should be more focused on the most important aspect of my life; my relationship with Jesus Christ. I want to be known as someone who loved him and lived my life for him. Of all the relationships in my life, this is the defining one, the one that has made all the difference! If you don’t already have this life changing relationship, I would love to share this link with you from the website of Billy Graham: Steps to Peace with God.
