100 Days of Summer Scrapbook Ideas – Day 100!!

I can’t believe a whole month has gone by without a summer scrapbooking post from me! This was our most busy/crazy summer so far, and yet I can’t believe I have stayed on top of things and I even finished my August layout IN AUGUST :)! It is all thanks to the awesome Project Scrap templates – they made my scrapbooking so easy this summer, and I love every new set! Here are the latest two layouts, from July and August. That will be all for summer scrapbooking ideas this year – now that the kids are back in school, I am ready to think about fall :)!

Then and Now Scrapbook Layouts {100 Days of Summer Scrapbook Ideas! Day 69}

As we near the end of summer, I find myself looking for even more scrapbooking shortcuts to help me stay on top of this year’s photos. As my regular readers know, I am participating in “Project Scrap”, which challenges me to create at least one two-page layout per month. I am also working on last summer’s photos, which I never got around to scrapbooking. This month, I decided to try something new as I scrapbooked photos from both June 2011 and June 2012 for two separate scrapbooks. I used the same template, in fact almost the same exact designs, for both years! This not only helped me get both layouts done in record time, but it’s really fun to see them side by side as a “then and now”. The layouts will be printed in two different books, so it will be easy to compare them :).

NOW: Summer Scrapbook Layout for June 2012

In case you’re wondering, they didn’t grow out of their glasses, but they have “transition” lenses now, which turn into sunglasses outside. I had them take off their glasses for these photos, because I didn’t like how the sunglasses hid their pretty blue eyes :)! Here are the close-ups of the pages:

A Faithbook Idea for Father’s Day {100 Days of Summer Scrapbook Ideas! Day 60}

As much as possible, I like to include faithbooking into my regular scrapbooks – to help remind myself of God’s goodness, and to teach my children about His love. On father’s day, I am especially reminded of God’s love for His children because it is reflected in the way my husband cares for our kids. The kids and I are so blessed by him!

This page was meant for the June challenge over at the Shabby Shoppe blog – oopsie! I am behind schedule, as usual this summer :)! Hopefully I can get on top of things and get in on the July template challenge, due August 2nd. There are soooo many things in the shabby shoppe that I would love to buy if I win that $25 gift card :)!

Digital Scrapbooking Template Freebie {100 Days of Summer Scrapbook Ideas! Day 28}

Summer break has me and the kids pretty busy these days :)! I did have a chance to put together a little freebie for my readers – a simple digital scrapbook template based on my postcard layout from the Hawaii trip scrapbook :). Check out the digital scrapbook layout below, with photos from the streets of NYC taken last week as we drove home from vacation!

This template has room for at least eight photos! Great for scrapbooking summer vacations and travels :). Here’s what I scrapped using my new digital template:

Patriotic Colors {100 Days of Summer Scrapbook Ideas! Day 10}

Today is Memorial day here in the USA, so I thought I’d share a scrapbook page with patriotic colors: red, white and blue! I am so thankful for the freedom I enjoy as an American, and especially on Memorial Day I am mindful that freedom is never free. This layout is not about a patriotic holiday, but as I was putting it together I realized that the colors are perfect for Memorial Day or the Fourth of July.

Layout credits: Everything is from the Shabby Shoppe: Summer Cottage and the FREE Easy-As-Pie Template 23. Note: I also noticed that there is a super cute add-on to the Summer Cottage kit, that has lots of patriotic embellishments :)!

Digital Scrapbook Pages for Spring!

I’m finally caught up with Project SCRAP! Now I just need to stay caught up :). Meanwhile I am also trying to work on several bigger scrapbooks, for travels, weddings and other events. Little by little I’m making progress :). Here is my main layout for last month (April 2012):

I hadn’t intended to make it this girly, but all the pink and flowers fit perfectly for April, don’t you think?

I also have lots of Easter photos, but I’ll save those for another layout :).

Are you working on any scrapbooking projects right now?

I Love Digital Scrapbook Templates!

I went from way behind schedule to almost caught up in a couple of days! Seriously, if it weren’t for shortcuts like photo books and templates, I would feel totally overwhelmed trying to keep up with my scrapbooking :)! Now I just need to do the April layout, and I will be back on schedule with Project SCRAP. If you haven’t joined in, you really should – the free templates are wonderful, and the encouragement and inspiration from the Shabby Princess team and other scrapbookers will help keep you motivated :)!

Digital Scrapbooking My Loves {Project SCRAP February 2012 Layout}

OK, so I did immediately fall behind in Project SCRAP, but I’m not giving up – I am determined to finish my 2012 scrapbook on time this year!

Ah, February was such a lovely month – filled to the brim with Pinterest crafts and recipes!

Free Template at the Shabby Shoppe Blog!

I can’t believe the Shabby Shoppe blog is already on template challenge number 20 and I this is the first time I’m joining in! They have the BEST templates, seriously! Plus, there is a randomly chosen winner who will get a $25 gift card to the Shabby Shoppe :). He’s what I made using their free template, plus the free Happy Go Lucky kit and the Smarshmallows kit from the Shabby Shoppe! (fonts: Rockwell and Marketing Script)

Don’t you love these cute t-shirts Uncle Michael and Auntie Tanya gave the kids for Christmas? They sure know how to butter us up ;). There were some for Chris and me too, which you can see in our February family photo. LOL!

Floral Springtime Scrapbook Pages

I may be keeping up with my 2012 scrapbooking with Project Scrap, but I am still pretty far behind on my 2011 pages, so I will be working on those little by little throughout this year, too. I DID get my winter 2011 book finished and printed, so next up are some SPRING scrapbook pages! I have to say, it is so nice so be looking at bright floral pictures and scrapbook papers – it makes me excited about the days to come :)! Anyway, here are the first two pages in my Spring 2011 book:

I used all Shabby Princess products for theses pages, check here for credits :)!
