Photography Tips and 50% Off Photo Books

Happy Monday! Just wanted to pop in and let you know about some GREAT sales going on – then I need to get back to “work” I am trying to finish a bunch of photo projects and get them all ordered before these sales end! This is especially hard to do when my only chance to work on them is when the kids are asleep .

Firstly: I answered some photography and photo editing questions today and linked to some other related posts I wrote on my blog Lovely, Lovely Things.

Finally: Snapfish has a couple of great sales going on too – 50% off several of their photo gifts, and 100 free 4×6 prints with the purchase of two 8x10s. I am making a 12×12 calendar for 50% off and I plan on getting the free prints too – since we just got back from a vacation in Hawaii and I have lots of scrapbooking to do ! Sale ends 11/02/10.

I found out that Shutterfly is having some great summer promotions where you can save up to 30% off on things like the photo books, prints and 18 month calendars! FREE Photo Editing Software

My sister Rebekah clued me in to this great photo editing software called Photoscape, which you can download onto your computer for free! She loves the fact that is is very simple to learn to use (unlike Photoshop, which she is a little overwhelmed by). I took a few minutes to check it out, and I love all the great features! Here’s an example of one of our weekend photos before and after a quick editing session with Photoscape:

Don’t get me wrong, I am not about to give up my Photoshop anytime soon, but for those of you who are interested in doing photo editing, but don’t have the time or budget for Photoshop – this could be the solution!

Real Love Mini Kit {and freebie}

Happy Friday everybody! I hope you had a great week and are ready for the weekend !! I don’t know about you, but I am really looking forward to Valentine’s Day  – what could be sweeter than a whole day dedicated to LOVE? It is with this in mind that I have put together my new mini kit: Real Love – It is on sale for just $2 right now!

My inspiration for this kit is a passage from the Bible:

You will find these words incorporated into the design of some of the papers in the kit, and of course, most of the elements are meant to communicate a major message of LOVE ! Although you can’t miss the bold pinks and lavender colors here, you will also find plenty of neutrals too – for those non-girly pages .

Christmas Heart Hybrid Inspiration

Oh boy, I’m SO EXCITED! I have teamed up with the super talented hybrid genius, Kelleigh Ratzlaff to offer you these new printable projects ! Kelleigh has a whole store over at The Digi Chick filled with fab hybrid templates, and I am thrilled that she has agreed to use her craft creating skills to make these fun projects with my designs.
